Linwood Sawmill#

Linwood Sawmill, operating as Linwood Timber, is a specialized building materials supplier located in Dorset. The company functions as a traditional sawmill, focusing on the production and distribution of locally sourced sawn timber. Their primary business model revolves around providing timber products tailored to individual requirements, serving both private individuals and commercial clients. By sourcing wood from the local region, the company supports regional forestry and provides materials suitable for a variety of construction and woodworking applications throughout the South West.

The business offers a comprehensive range of products, including specialized items such as cedar shingles, which are frequently used in Dorset-based building projects for roofing and cladding. To facilitate professional partnerships, the company provides a Trade Account system, allowing contractors and builders to manage high-volume orders and ongoing projects efficiently. Their commitment to competitive pricing is supported by a Price Promise, ensuring that customers receive value on their raw material acquisitions. The facility also actively engages in timber procurement, maintaining a "Timber Wanted" program to source standing timber or felled logs from land managers and private estates.

In addition to their physical sawmill operations, Linwood Timber maintains a digital presence for direct purchasing through their online shop. This platform allows customers to browse current inventory, manage accounts, and coordinate logistics for timber delivery or collection. The company also provides educational resources through regular newsletters and blog updates, keeping the local building community informed about seasonal availability and industry developments. The operation is headquartered in Dorset and remains a key supplier of sustainable building materials for the regional construction industry.
