Cladding Testing

About Cladding Testing

Cladding Testing is an independent UK-wide cladding consultancy. We provide cladding surveys, testing and reporting for residential and commercial buildings, explain what the process involves in plain English, and help freeholders, managing agents, housing associations and leaseholders understand their options and take the next step. This page sets out what we do, how we work and how any building information you share is handled.

What we do

What we do

We carry out cladding surveys, external wall testing and written reporting for residential buildings, and we publish a national directory of cladding contractors. Survey findings are reported as recorded; we do not state whether a building is compliant or safe.

Independence

Independent of cladding and insulation manufacturers

We do not manufacture, supply or install cladding or insulation products, and we have no commercial relationship with manufacturers or installers. Recommendations in our reports are based on the survey findings and the published regulatory framework.

Method

How surveys and testing are carried out

Each instruction begins with a desktop review of available drawings and documentation, followed by a site inspection. Where sampling or testing is required, the scope is agreed in writing before work begins. Findings are set out in a written report with photographs and, where relevant, references to the applicable guidance.

Competence

Who writes and signs reports

Every report is written and signed by a named author. The names, roles and qualifications of report authors and signatories are listed below once confirmed.

Credentials

Accreditations and memberships

Accreditations and memberships are listed only where they are current and verifiable. Nothing is implied beyond what is shown.

Insurance

Insurance and professional indemnity

Details of professional indemnity and public liability cover are available on request and will be listed here once confirmed.

Confidentiality

How building data is handled confidentially

Survey data, photographs and reports relating to a building are shared only with the instructing party and those they authorise. Building-level findings are never published on this site.

Coverage

Where we work

We work across the UK, with most instructions in London and the South East. Site visits are arranged by appointment.

The directory

Why we publish the directory

The directory exists to help building owners and managers find contractors who work on external wall systems. Listings are compiled from publicly available sources, are not rated, ranked or endorsed, and can be claimed and corrected by the companies concerned.
